Siblings' teamwork powers Ace Development

Six units remain at Augusta Place, a former apartment building given new life by a sister-and-brother development team who have already overseen rehab and new-construction projects in Logan Square and other Chicago neighborhoods.

Cera Stan-Tsanov and her brother, Relu Stan, partners in Ace Development, have opened up the old apartments at 2701 West Augusta Boulevard by knocking out walls and enlarging windows. They installed new maple floors, ten-foot-high ceilings, European-style kitchens, and lots of soundproofing between units. Once all nine units in the building have been sold, the new owners will collaborate on the design of a rooftop terrace, which is included in the purchase price.
All the remaining condos, which range in price from $200,000 to $260,000, are ready for immediate occupancy. Each unit has two bedrooms and either one or two baths (those units are respectively 950 and 1,100 square feet). There are no parking spaces or garages; all parking is on the street.
