Don't Miss: Model Citizen
James Blunt, Citizen Cope come to town
By Kevin McKeough
James Blunt has a knack for acoustic pop-soul, but his self-important vocals often render the songs insufferable (although the swooning young women who make up most of his fan base may beg to differ). Citizen Cope, aka Clarence Greenwood, could teach Blunt a thing or 200 about how to write folk-soul songs that are tough and funky, and how to deliver them with gruff conviction. Blunt plays the Riviera February 22nd; Cope plays the Vic the following night.
